About BCIC

BCIC (earlier known as Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry (GMCI)) is the Apex Chamber of Commerce representing large and medium industries in the State of Karnataka.The Chamber represents 95% of the capital investment and 90% of labour employed in the State of Karnataka. it has a membership of 850 companies representing various sectors of industry such as – Manufacturing, IT/ITES, Biotechnology, Engineering, Consultancy and Legal firms etc.

Hosted by the Ramaiah Institute of Management’s Centre for Excellence in Sustainability (RIMCES), in collaboration with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), and Sattva Consulting, these awards recognize outstanding corporate achievements in sustainability across five key categories.

Corporate Excellence in Sustainable Business Practices in Emerging Clusters Beyond Bengaluru in Karnataka – Specifically for Tier 2 and Tier 3 clusters in Karnataka, this award recognizes companies measuring and reporting sustainable practices outside Bangalore.

Entry Guidelines

Eligibility

Open to all Indian companies (listed and non-listed) registered with SEBI or an equivalent international regulator. ESG compliance reports are mandatory.

Submission

Entries must be submitted by the Chief Sustainability Officer, CFO, or an authorized representative. A copy of the application form is available for your reference.

Our jury comprises renowned leaders in sustainability and corporate governance from across industries, academia, and government bodies. Their deep expertise ensures a transparent and comprehensive evaluation process.

Who is eligible to apply for these awards?

Any company registered in India and compliant with internationally approved ESG standards is eligible to apply. Both listed and non-listed firms are welcome, provided they submit ESG reports to SEBI or other recognized international regulators.

What if my company doesn’t meet SEBI reporting requirements?

Both listed and non-listed companies can apply, as long as they meet other international regulatory standards.

Is there an application fee for the awards?

No, there is no application fee for the awards.

What is the deadline for submitting nominations?

Nominations open on 24th September 2024 and close on 20th October 2024, with a possible extension until 30th October 2024.

How will the winners be selected?

There is a two-step evaluation process: 

  • The first round of screening will take place from 1st to 7th November 2024.
  • The second round of evaluation will happen from 10th to 15th November 2024, where a panel of experts will shortlist the top candidates.
  • The final winners will be announced on 28th November 2024.
